Chloral hydrate ´Üµ¶ °æ±¸Åõ¿©´Â ¼Ò¾ÆÄ¡°ú ȯÀÚÀÇ ÁøÁ¤¿¡ °¡Àå ³Î¸® »ç¿ëµÇ°í ÀÖ´Â ¹æ¹ýÁßÀÇ ÇϳªÁö¸¸ ½ÇÆÐÇÏ´Â °æ¿ìµµ µå¹°Áö ¾Ê°Ô º¸°ÔµÈ´Ù. ÀǽÄÇÏ ÁøÁ¤À» ÀÌ¿ëÇÑ Ä¡°úÄ¡·á°¡ ¿¹Á¤µÈ °Ç°­ÇÑ È¯ÀÚ¿¡°Ô kg´ç 70mgÀÇ Chloral hydrate¸¦ °æ±¸Åõ¿©ÇÏ°í Á¶¿ëÇÑ ¹æ¿¡¼­ 60ºÐÀÌ °æ°úÇÑ ´ÙÀ½, ȯÀÚ°¡ ¼ö¸é»óÅ¿¡ À̸¥ °æ¿ì¸¦ ÁøÁ¤È¿°úÀÇ ¼º°øÀ¸·Î Æò°¡ÇÏ°í °èȹµÈ Ä¡·á¸¦ ¼öÇàÇÏ¿´´Ù(¥°±º). ¼ö¸é¿¡ À̸£Áö ¾Ê¾Æ ½ÇÆзΠÆò°¡µÈ ȯÀÚ´Â 50%ÀÇ ¾Æ»êÈ­Áú¼Ò¿Í 2vol%ÀÇ enfluraneÀÌ È¥ÇÕµÈ °¡½º¸¦ ¾à 1~2ºÐ°£ Åõ¿©ÇÏ¿© Ãʱ⠼ö¸éÀ¯µµ¸¦ ½ÃÇàÇÑ ÈÄ ¿¹Á¤µÈ Ä¡·á¸¦ ¼öÇàÇÏ¿´°í(¥±±º), ´ÙÀ½ ³»¿ø¿¡´Â chloral hydrate¿Í hydroxyzine(2mg/kg)À» º´¿ëÅõ¿© ÇÏ¿´´Ù(¥²±º). ´ëÁ¶±º°ú ½ÇÇ豺 °¢°¢ 35¸í¾¿ ÃÑ 70¸í (³²ÀÚ : 44¸í, ¿©ÀÚ : 26¸í)ÀÇ È¯ÀÚ°¡ ½ÇÇè´ë»óÀ¸·Î »ç¿ëµÇ¾úÀ¸¸ç À̵éÀÇ Æò±Õ ¿¬·ÉÀº 35.9 ¡¾8.9°³¿ù, üÁßÀº 14.4 ¡¾2.2kg À̾ú´Ù. ÀÓ»óÀûÀ¸·Î ¹Ù¶÷Á÷ÇÑ Çൿ¾ç»ó(Q : Quiet)ÀÇ ºñÀ²ÀÌ ¥²±º¿¡ ºñÇØ ¥±±º¿¡¼­ ³ô°Ô ³ªÅ¸³µÀ¸¸ç(p¡´0.05), ¥±±º°ú ¥°±º°£¿¡´Â À¯ÀÇÇÑ Â÷À̸¦ º¸ÀÌÁö ¾Ê¾Ò´Ù(p¡µ0.05).

º» ½ÇÇè¿¡¼­ ½ÃµµÇÑ µÎ °¡Áö ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ýÀÌ ºñ±³Àû ³ôÀº ÀÓ»óÀû Ä¡·á ¼º°ø·ü(¥±±º : 97.14%, ¥²±º : 88.57%)À» º¸¿© ¸¸Á·ÇÒ ¸¸ÇÑ °á°ú¸¦ ³ªÅ¸³½ °ÍÀ¸·Î Æò°¡µÇ¾ú´Ù.

Chloral hydrate is one of the most widely used sedative agents to control the difficult-to-treat young age group in the dental clinic. We are often frustrated to see the patient still awake and cry with agitation even after far more than the normal onset time of Chloral hydrate. In such a case, the patient has to be rescheduled for another sedation visit with different agents and/or routes which greatly disappoints the guardians. This study was designed to test the efficacy of one sedative regimen that can possibly help the clinician complete scheduled treatment without postponement. We have tried sleep induction with mixed gas of Enflurane(2vol£¥) and N2O(50£¥)-O2(50£¥) for 60¡­120 seconds to 35 patients of those who failed to respond properly to the dose(70mg/kg) of oral Chloral hydrate. The Result of this regimen was compare to those of two oral regimen of Chloral hydrate/Hydroxyzine and Chloral hydrate only. Analyses of result on vital signs and behavior pattern were performed. The outcome of the study suggest that sleep induction by a short inhalation of low dose of Enflurane/ N2O-O2 provide dentist with suitable condition for the completion of scheduled treatment in the patient who failed to oral Chloral hydrate. Evidence of adverse effect was not detected or reported during and/or after the procedures.
